Welcome to my site!
This has been quite the tumultuous time, to say the least, but I am still trying to make the best of this. Staying at home, not commuting to school and being on campus, where I'd be in and out of class, work, and rehearsals all day, has allowed me to focus of parts of myself and hobbies that I often find myself neglecting when I must focus solely on schoolwork. Now, that's not to say that I don't enjoy school and learning: I am beyond lucky to be able to study my greatest passion (acting) and I have grown so much, both as an actor and a human being. I cannot wait to utilize the training I've been given and get out into the world. What I mean to say is this: I have always found it important to be as well-rounded a person as possible. I think it makes you a more intelligent, thoughtful, compassionate, and interesting person, and it allows you to have a wide breadth of skills that nourish you as an individual and can prove to be advantageous in your work and in the world.
When we entered quarantine, I thought a lot about what I wanted to do in terms of ways to keep myself busy and working. Key words: I thought, but I was not putting my thoughts into action. I was really struggling with my mental health and my motivation to create and focus, even on my schoolwork. It took some time, but I was eventually able to pull myself out of my rut and get back on the road. I am (at this moment, especially) primarily an actor, but until I have more acting content to post, I thought I'd create this site as a way for me to show what artistic things I've been doing to get myself through this unprecedented and chaotic time in our lives. I wanted to compile all of my works into a "Quaranzine" of some sort (I've always admired Jennifer Garner and Stanley Tucci's jobs laying out content for magazines in "13 Going on 30" and "The Devil Wears Prada" respectively) and wanted to make one of my own, but I also realized that making a paper product would be harder for me to translate and showcase in a time where we were especially forced to be online.
So on this site, until I have more acting material to present (and trust me, I'm working on it), I wanted this to be a place to demonstrate my other (artistic) hobbies and passions. I'm trying to keep as much content on this site recent in terms of various projects I've been working on, but since I will eventually pivot this to a full-time acting site, I figure I may as well start integrating what acting material I have available now.
